Aspire Cleito Sub Ohm Tank Review

Aspire Cleito Vape Tank
ASPIRE CLEITO INTRO

A couple of years back, Aspire became a household name among vapers because of its line of sub-ohm tanks such as the Nautilus and the Atlantis.

One of their latest sub ohm tanks, the Cleito, has become a popular choice for flavour chasers.

Does the Cleito add to the legend of Aspire? Or will it relegate the brand as a has-been in today’s cutthroat sub-ohm market?

PACKAGING & DESIGN

The Cleito comes in a longish acrylic case and contains the tank itself with wide bore Delrin drip tip, one spare Pyrex glass, two Clapton coils at 0.2 ohms and 0.4 ohms, and four rubber vape bands.

The design is simple yet elegant. The only real flaw I could find is that the tank has to be empty in order to change the coils. Everything else works so well.

0.4Ω COILS PRODUCE AMAZING FLAVOUR

The Cleito comes with two coils: a 0.4Ω and a 0.2Ω.

There is the option to buy a temperature control (TC) coil that supports SS316 separately if you prefer TC.

The TC coil was not an option when I first bought my Cleito, and since I’m not much of a TC enthusiast I haven’t tried it.

Therefore my review on the coils will be limited to the other two non-TC coils.

If you’re not entirely sure what temperature control is you can learn more about it here.

The coils replace the chimney inside the tank, so you have the full length of the coil running down the middle of the tank.

The 0.4Ω coils are top notch. Recommended for temperatures between 40-60W, I tend to vape at around 55-60W to get the best flavour.

The flavour really is impressive, and if you like clouds, you’ll get plenty of them with this.

It’s recommended that you use the 0.2Ω coils between 55-70W. I’m not a huge fan of these coils. The flavour is very average and isn’t anywhere near as good as the flavour you get from the 0.4ohm coils.

Coil replacements aren’t that expensive either, and each of the coils I’ve used has lasted at least 2 weeks with regular use, with the exception of one.

One thing you’ll notice is that the Cleito is a real juice guzzler, and you’ll find yourself filling it quite often, so be sure to carry around your juice if you’re out and about.

While this is not necessarily a bad thing, it is what it is, especially if you are after flavour.

As great as this all sounds, there is a con to go with this. In order to change the coil you’ll need to completely empty the tank.

On the surface, it doesn’t sound that bad, but if you burn out your coil and have no means of saving your e-liquid somewhere, you’re gonna have to throw it away in order to change it.

Not the end of the world, admittedly, but slightly annoying none-the-less.

GIVE IT A CAPACITY BOOST

The Cleito has a capacity of 3.5ml, though I’ve been using the larger 5ml glass sleeve.

This sleeve doesn’t some included, but you can pick one up on Amazon for under £10.00, and it’s a worthy investment if you do pick up this tank.

BEWARE: TATTY LOOKING BLACK VERSION

The diameter is 22mm, with a height of 52mm.

The tank is made from 304 stainless steel, making it a very durable tank, especially if you use the vape bands for added protection.

I like both the silver and black, but was drawn more to the black one when I bought it.

This was a mistake. The paint flakes off far too easily, and once this starts to happen, it’s not a good look.

Just a heads up.

Aspire Cleito
DISLIKES

  • Juice Guzzler – The price to pay for a very flavourful vape is the amount of juice it consumes
  • Black Version Paint Flakes Off – If you opt to get the black version, be prepared to baby it a lot since the paint flakes off easily
  • No TC Coils for Nickel or Titanium – The lack of certain TC coils limits the versatility of the tank
  • Coil Changes Require An Empty Tank – Unlike most tanks these days, you’ll need to empty the tank first before you change coils

LIKES

  • Flavour – When it comes to flavour, you won’t be disappointed with the Cleito
  • Design – The design is brilliantly simple in both form and function. Easy to use and easy to clean makes this a cinch to maintain
  • Airflow – The three airholes and adjustment ring gives you a wider range of airflow options
  • Vape Bands – Usually bought separately, the inclusion of, not just one but four, vape bands is a nice touch
  • Drip Tip and 510 Compatibility – The included drip tip is nice and works well, but to be able to use your old 510 drip tips only add to the tank’s versatility
  • No Leaks – In use, you won’t be dealing with unwanted leaks here. Unless you use a high PG eliquid then store the tank with it for prolonged periods
  • Affordable – The tank itself is very affordable, as well as the coils
  • Long Lasting Coils – Affordable coils that perform well and last long? Check to all

Aspire Cleito Sub Ohm Tank
SHOULD YOU GET THE CLEITO?

The tank has been out a while, and I’ve been using one with the larger 5ml glass sleeve as my daily go-to tank ever since.

It’s that good.

If you haven’t tried sub-ohm vaping, I recommend this tank wholeheartedly.

If you are looking for one that is TC compatible, you may have to look elsewhere.

But other than that, for great flavour, the Aspire Cleito is tough to beat. Whether you are a newbie or and experienced vaper, you can’t go wrong with this one.
